Two New Lecture Series for 2021.

To kick off  2021 the School of Architecture and Design are delighted to announced two fantastic new lecture series. The first is a series of Lunchtime Research Talks organised by the SoAD Early Career Researcher Group. These will take place online from 25th January and will include practitioners from the disciplines of architecture, urbanism, interiors and design. We are very excited about the breadth of inspiring topics that will be covered (especially in these challenging times).  These will include City of Ladies: Remodelling Christine de Pizan’s proto-feminist illuminated manuscript, Black Markets: Transnational architectures of Care, The Aesthetics of Extractivism in Turkey’s Kurdistan, Science Fiction and Architecture, and The RIBA and Imperial Legacies.

Details of individual speakers and how to join will be announced each week so do watch this space.

Also launching on 28th January is our Evening Public Lecture SeriesThese will be hosted on Zoom at 6pm on Thursdays. Further details on how to join will be announced very soon.

We have seven fantastic speakers confirmed to which we hope to add one or two at the end but please do make a note of the confirmed ones in your diaries. It looks to be a really fantastic mix of established, emerging and diverse voices.
