In previous years as the pictures show Duncan Baker Brown has been a regular speaker at Architects Climate Action Network events. Duncan is our Climate Literacy Champion ( amongst other things !) and would like to invite staff and students to attend next week’s educators’ event.
Last summer ACAN (Architects Climate Action Network) held an educators’ workshops as a forum to raise awareness, cross-institutional discussion and encourage immediate action to change the way we teach in response to the climate and ecological emergency. The outcomes also led to the production of a Toolkit for schools and informed ACANs ongoing actions.
On Wednesday 7th April (2-4pm) the ACAN Educators’ Collaboration Forum will grab a moment to touch base, share experiences, and reflect on the year so far. This 2-hour event will feature speakers from 6 different UK architecture schools, to share some of their climate initiatives, tips and lessons learnt. There will also be breakout room sessions with discussion guided by the most prevalent concerns and themes of participating architectural educators (short survey in Eventbrite link).
It would be great to see you there –https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/acan-educators-collaboration-forum-tickets-148352160305
