Green Wellbeing Day Saturday, 9 October 2021 10.00- 4pm
Saddlescombe Farm, Saddlescombe Road, BN45 7DE
Being outdoors, enjoying the things of nature is very good for our mental health. Growing Wellbeing, located at the National Trust’s Saddlescombe Farm near Pyecombe is offering students a day at the farm where we can experience this for ourselves.
Numbers are limited so booking essential.
Green Wellbeing Day will be led by Director Jo Wren and her team. It will include some information about how nature can be beneficial for mental health, why and how it works and something about Grow’s experience of how much it has helped people; we will also go out on the hills to do something experience based so that people can feel for themselves the great benefits of being in nature. You can learn more about Growing Wellbeing from their website: growingwellbeing.org.uk.
It is open to all, but places are limited so early booking is very strongly recommended. It is funded by the Methodists of Brighton and Hove so there is no charge.
Transport to Saddlescombe Farm and a simple lunch will be provided*. Participants need to wear sturdy shoes, be dressed for the outdoors and bring rain wear (just in case!). Covid precautions will be observed and masks worn when indoors.
