Missing our brilliant Techies? Don’t worry they are online.
We know in the School of Architecture and Design students across all courses learn a huge amount from Peter Marsh, Claire Hoskins, Ted Randall, Dave Osborne, Robbie Crace, and Dawn Whitaker otherwise known as the brilliant Technical Team. They are all very talented makers, photographers and artists outside of the University and teach a wide range of essential skills; always there to advise and guide students with hands-on teaching and demonstrations.
In the current lockdown our workshops might be closed but the team are still working flat out to help students ….all be it from their kitchens, sheds and studios.
They have developed a fantastic and ever expanding new “Technicians On-line” area on Studentcentral to help during this challenging time. There are resources and videos to help students photograph work, and make models and prototypes while stuck at home.
They are also available to give one to one advice online and students can email in specific questions if they need help with practical work. Details of their areas of expertise, availability and contact details are also on the “Technicians On-line” area.
Keep an eye on the Technicians area as there is new material going up all the time…..what a great team.
