Cornice Conversations.
On 3rd April Professor Charles Holland will be talking at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) the Institute of Technology in Zürich…on the meaning of cornices, classical details and architectural mouldings. The talk will be a conversation between Charles and Emma Letizia Jones from ETH and will focus on three details, two historical examples and one of Charles own, all chosen to explore the topic.
The talk is part of a short series which also features Swiss architects Lutjens and Pdmanabhan and Petra Kahlfeldt, who is based in Berlin.
On the 4th April Charles will then be taking part in a seminar and review of current student work at ETH researching the same themes.
