Aleksandra Ariaman student from BA Architecture second year received a commendation last week at the Women in Property Awards – South East.
Every year the School of Architecture and Design at Brighton is represented by a second year student who participates in the Women in Property Awards (WiP). Our 2017-2018 nominee, Aleksandra Ariaman, has been awarded with a high commendation at the awards ceremony which took place in London. Aleksandra presented the work that she developed in Studio 17 which is taught by Duncan Baker-Brown and Ian McKay. Aleksandra created a place where young refugees living in Brighton can acquire new skills . The Jury drew a special attention to how Aleksandra approached local community problems and proposed an option based on sustainable architecture principles. This year was particularly special for the University as the First prize went to Shannon Cresseell from Project Management. Congratulations to both winners.
