Samantha Lynch and Gudrun Krabbe are delivering an exciting workshop in Copenhagen next month. This is a unique opportunity to design, build, create, and learn in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, Denmark. Situated in the famous harbour, we have a floating building that is all ours to respond to and transform. 10 days of workshop with visiting designers, architects and artists, and the design and build of a 1:1 installation, we will celebrate the work with a public exhibition. We will focus on risk-taking in the creative process and in response to the special landscape and history of the harbour.
Beyond the benefits of learning/making/experience this will be great for your CV’s and portfolios – a chance to do something architectural/physical and 1:1, learning building skills and collaboration.
It is also part of a great community (one of the last remaining sites of the Copenhagen harbour and part of an existing creative workshop that brings together boatbuilders, set designers, and more). Because of its social and ecological rarity the project will appeal to anyone looking to hire and will help you stand out as a serious and experienced candidate. It also provides exhibition and curating experience.
The price for the workshop is £150 plus accommodation, which we have organised and ranges from £0-25 per night. Contact for more details.
We have a few spaces left so please respond as soon as possible to S.Lynch2@Brighton.ac.uk
