Ready to go.

Those high vis vest yellow vests have been cast aside and replaced by the obligatory black attire as beloved by Architects.  The build is finally There complete and this morning our External Examiners arrived and to be given a tour of the Undergraduate Exhibition Huts and meet with staff from across the School of Architecture and Design.

There is a huge sense of anticipation as this will be a Degree Show like no other. Set on the RIBA Stirling Prize Winning Hastings Pier (designed by Michael Spooner whilst at architecture practice dRMM, who also teaches on BA Interior Architecture here at Brighton) celebrating not only the work of our fantastic students but also SoAD being a new school and that 2018 marks Brighton University’s 25th birthday .

Students and Staff have worked flat out for the past few weeks undeterred by every type of weather from scorching sun to thick mist, winds and thunderstorms – nothing has stopped them.

So now they get to show their work to examiners and general public in a series of open pavilion structures designed and built specifically for the show before the big party on Friday night.
