Level 4 Interior Architecture students engaged in another hands-on, post-lecture workshop as part of the AD493 Technology series, which is intended to holistically embed an appreciation of physical considerations in the realisation of their design projects. This task was to develop a self-supporting skin or frame that focused on the concept Connect. Teams developed their ideas, designed, built and tested in just 90 minutes. No prior prep, no adhesives allowed, maximum of two materials connected in modules, team work a must. Some interesting results, not least the pneumatic origami tower. Well done! Looking forward to seeing how these ideas come forward in the final design project.
