Conceptualization.

As we are moving towards the end of the first year, Level 4 students are working on finalising plans for their Concorde 2 project. The studio is buzzing with creativity as everyone experiments with materials, structures and proportions. A variety of smaller or bigger scale sketch models allow students to visualise their designs whilst analysing the build-ability and construction details.

As many students started working with models only a few months ago, we walked around the studio and asked some of them about their experiences.

” Working with a model helps me remember my original design aims and allows me to work with the volume of the space”. Harry Cheung.

” Its easier than drawing” Olivia Ricciardi

”It was scary at first, but you just need to give it a go!” Georgina Wood

”Its fun; great way to visualise the space” Victoria Oakes
