Studio 12 went on a day trip to visit housing in London in preparation for finishing up final designs. As we walked along Camden and Murray Mews we were lucky enough to be invited into two private dwellings. The Mews in Camden are host to a number of notable house designs by well-known architects during the 1960s and 1970s.
We were first invited to see Tom Kay’s house and studio, which has been well preserved by a friend of the family so remains just as it was when he lived there. Shortly after we were invited to visit a house designed by the renowned Team 4 (Richard Rogers, Su Rogers, Norman Foster and Wendy Foster) by the client who commissioned the house to be built more than 50 years ago.
