Places to Live – Places to Work: New typologies for living & working

The main project for Semester 2, Places to Live – Places to Work, aims to engage with notions of sustainable urban design in exploring new urban typologies for living and working. The site is the hotly contested North Street Quarter of Lewes where outline Planning and Full Plans consent for a part of the area have already been granted, whereby a significant proportion of working and making spaces in Lewes will be lost to commuter belt housing. The brief aims to explore alternatives based on local, social and sustainable ways of living.
