Inventing new symbiotic relationships

Fuelled by the field trip, we are now focusing on the main building propositions by channeling the approaches and agendas adopted from the first project as the departure point of this project.

Students are re-iterating the strategies and potentials that they have unearthed from term 1 and then using them to develop new architectural propositions to re-invent new symbiotic relationships as a way to preserve and empower the culture and vernacular architecture of small communities living within their site. Students’ projects therefore focus on the notion of symbiotic relationships, the design of new theatrical building typologies and how such propositions relate to the urban context of Islington.
