Alongside the show build, a handful of the second year Interior Architecture students have been involved in building an installation at local family festival Elderflower Fields. It’s been a busy few weeks! Alongside studio tutors Josephine Neill & Tasha O’Byrne, the students have been busily making thousands of origami cranes and butterflies in the studio during any pare time they have and spent the evenings of the week leading up to the May bank holiday learning to build the decking structures that house these creatures. After all the hard work that was put in, it was amazing to see the piece being populated by children making it into anything their imagination could take it too. The deckings acted as a stage, a picnic table, a hide and seek spot … What a great thing to see after hours of dedication!
‘Thanks again for all you did. It really was great to have your students involved. You all worked really hard and the result looked great! Everyone loved it!’ Festival arts co-ordinator Dax Debice
