This years evening lecture series is about “Things”. The old English definition of a thing (thynge) is more expansive than merely a material object. Amongst others it explains it as ‘a narrative not fully known’ and ‘the unknowability of larger chains of events’ leaving the possibility of something new to be discovered or established.
We are inviting down to Brighton architects and designers who are working across a variety of disciplines. We have asked them to discuss their work in the context of what they make being not only a complete piece, but also a voyage into the unidentified and undetermined – and when a thing is a thing.
Our first talk will be “Musical Bridges” by artist Di Mainstone at 6pm on November 19th in The Gallery, 3rd Floor, Mithras House.
