The first brief in the fresh and new BA design studio set the task to find boundaries and limits in our carefully chosen garments: an antique waistcoat, a seventieth and a military jumpsuit. We are looking for ways of dissecting the pieces and being critical about how we cut to reveal interesting conditions. We are taking into account programs that make these garments refined pieces of clothing culture, implying that they hold potential architectural ideas. No part can be left abandoned. The negotiating of cutting lines became analog to the lines on a map that split territories.
