The students prepared for the journey by designing flat pack tools for measuring and recording environmental phenomena. Working with Mayor and her team in a small settlement called Hveragerdi 60 kilometres east of Reykjavík to project scenarios for the development of future development of architectural proposals by working with local energy systems.
In parallel to the field work in Hveragerdi , we held workshops with architecture students studying in Reykjavík.
As the images show Hveragerdi is a beautiful but geologically unstable landscape.
